Barbara Arnold

BSW, Appalachian State University, 1999

Barbara Arnold obtained her MSW in 2000 from the University of Georgia and has been licensed as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) since 2007.  She currently practices as the Associate Director of Student Counseling at the University of North Georgia, providing clinical services to students.  Prior to her work in university counseling, she was an outpatient therapist for children and adolescents, provided in-home work for at-risk families, worked in a residential center for adolescents, and with children and family services. Her research interests include clinical social work, trauma treatment using integrative modalities and international social work.  Her career aspirations include continuing work in the university setting through writing, researching and teaching.
