Curriculum Vitae

Dana Dillard is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and received both her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (1998) and her Master of Social Work (2001) from the University of Georgia. She became involved with the burn community and fire service through a service-learning course in partnership with the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation while pursuing her MSW. Dana remained an active volunteer with the GFBF after graduation and in 2008 began her current position as Programs Director. Her professional experience includes both medical and school social work. In addition, she has teaching experience in the Bachelors of Health and Human Services Program and Masters of Social Work Program at Kennesaw State University. Dillard’s research interests include the burn community, fire service, trauma, and interprofessional education.
