Katherine F. Gower

Katherine Gower has always had a passion for human behavior and social justice. After graduating with her BA in 2011, she worked as a caregiver in an assisted living facility, and entered the field of social work in 2014 to pursue her MSW. During this time, in addition to her studies, she completed and contributed to numerous research projects as a research assistant for the Texas School Safety Center, and a policy intern at the Texas Criminal Justice Coalition. After graduating with her MSW in 2016, she worked with Feeding Texas to assist with an evaluative study on SNAP assistance. Katherine’s main research interests are criminal justice, and social justice and macro-level advocacy within the social work profession.
