Jana Pruett

MSW, University of Georgia, 2005
BA, Psychology, Emory University, 2000

Jana Pruett completed her BA in Psychology at Emory University and earned her MSW in 2005 from the University of Georgia (with a concentration in Community Empowerment and Program Design).  She has six years of post-MSW practice experience in the field of crisis and access services as a clinician, designing and delivering training, and ultimately managing psychiatric mobile crisis teams for over 30 counties.  Her interest in issues of service access, policy, program design, and resource utility in a challenging political landscape led her to pursue her doctoral degree. Pruett’s research interests, spawned from practice, include healthcare and behavioral health policy, service delivery systems, and access to equitable care for vulnerable populations.
