Curriculum Vitae

Greg Purser received his Bachelors of Social Work from UGA in 2010 and his Master of Social Work degree in 2011. After receiving his MSW from UGA, Purser began working at the Athens Area Homeless Shelter in Athens, GA as a program coordinator of an employment assistance program for homeless individuals. During the three years spent working there he refined his social work interests. Since enrolling in the PhD program, Purser has focused his research interests on poverty and homelessness, as well as substance use and mental health. After receiving his PhD he will seek to continue his academic research as a professor at a university with high research activity.
