Abha Rai

Abha Rai is currently a 1st year doctoral student at the School of Social Work. Rai has over 10 years of extensive international community experience. She is passionate about women’s issues and identifies herself as a feminist as well as a women’s rights activist. Rai’s primary areas of research interest pertain to issues about acculturation in the context of intimate partner violence among South Asian immigrant women in the U.S. She intends to rely on a mixed methods style of research inquiry during her doctoral journey.
