Applying to the MSW program is a two-step process:
Attention Gwinnett Campus Part-Time MSW Applicants:
The deadline to submit completed MSW applications for enrollment in Fall Semester 2015 at the Gwinnett Campus has been extended to June 30, 2015. Any applications received and completed after June 30, 2015 will be reviewed on a space-available basis.
Applications are considered complete, when the following items are received in the School of Social Work, 279 Williams Street, The University of Georgia, Athens, GA 30602:
For faster processing, we recommend that you submit your entire School of Social Work application (application, narrative, resume, and 3 recommendation letters) all together in one packet. Have your reference writers return their letters to you, in a sealed envelope with their signature across the back flap, so that you may then submit them in your application packet.
Scholarships for Disadvantaged Students (SDS)
Scholarships up to $15,000 per year may be awarded to MSW eligible students. Students must re-apply for each year of funding.
Though the scholarship is only for full-time students, Gwinnett students are eligible to apply. The definition of full-time is 9 credit hours during fall and spring which is the typical load for Gwinnett students. In the one semester of 6 credit hours, Gwinnett students will need to enroll for an additional 3 credits.
For more information, please download the information sheet describing the requirements for the scholarship. Please read very carefully prior to completion of the application.
The application process is separate from the other SSW scholarship application process.
