Michael Holosko

Michael Holosko has consulted in a variety of large and small health and human service organizations in the areas of visioning, alignment, program and practice evaluation, grantsmanship, strategic planning and organizational effectiveness. He is the author, co-author or editor of numerous books, including A Pocket Glossary of Research Terms, co-authored with Bruce Thyer (Sage Publications, 2011). He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, including Research on Social Work Practice, the Journal of Social Work Education, the Journal of Evidence-Based Social Work, and the Journal of Correctional Education, among others. In demand for his expertise in social work research and evaluation, he has lectured and given presentations in Canada, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, and throughout the United States.

In 2006 Dr. Holosko was appointed the first Pauline M. Berger Professor of Family and Child Welfare in the School of Social Work. He is a faculty fellow with the UGA Center for Gambling Research and since 2013 he has served as Honorary Visiting Professor to City University of Hong Kong.
