Stacey Kolomer

Stacey Kolomer is an associate professor at the University of Georgia School of Social Work. Her research interests include grandparent caregiving families, medication management in older caregivers, and interdisciplinary geriatric education. Kolomer was a Hartford Faculty Scholar and has received funding from the John A. Hartford Foundation, Inc., The Georgia Gerontology Consortium, and the Institute for Geriatric Social Work. Kolomer was a University of Georgia Service-Learning Fellow and currently serving on the Service-Learning Curriculum committee. In addition to her interest in gerontology, Kolomer teaches Social Work with Burn Injured Children, a service-learning course that is offered each summer. Kolomer also is a faculty member at the Institute of Gerontology and currently is the Past President of the Board of Directors at the Athens Community Council on Aging. Her previous areas of practice include hospitals, dialysis units, and a nursing home.
