Your gift will provide support to the Institute On Nonprofit Organizations within the School of Social Work. This support shall include, but not be limited to, providing workshops and continuing education programs for the community, inviting guest teachers for selected courses, providing scholarships for students, and for marketing the Institute in the print media. The Director of the Institute will review student files and make awards based on indicators of student merit, experience and potential for leadership in the nonprofit field.
Currently, the Institute does not possess an operating budget- we run solely on voluntary efforts. The lack of resources for student financial aid has been a particular issue, and we yearn to expand the program's public awareness and recruiting. If you would like to help improve the Institute's success with a tax-deductible gift, please make your donation out to the University of Georgia Foundation, with a note designating the contribution for the Institute for Nonprofit Organizations.
