Candidates should enter wearing their tassels over the right eye. You will approach the stage from your right.
We will provide you with a card from the photographer that you can fill out if you want to review your pictures after graduation. On the back of the card we will request that you write your name and any special details about pronunciation. You will give this card to a designated person so that your name can be announced. At this point, MSW, MNPO and PhD graduates will proceed to the faculty member who is assigned to hood you. B.S.W. students will proceed to the B.S.W. Program Director. Next you will walk over to Dean Daniels who will congratulate you. Keep in mind that the photographer will be taking pictures as you are hooded and/or congratulated.
After this, you will exit the stage and return to your seat.
Remember that the last students to come in are the first to leave--the last row will be the first to exit. Please stay in line and leave by rows following each other. This is a formal ceremony so we must leave in an orderly fashion.
