Association of Black Social Workers (ABSW)

The ABSW is a student-run organization that enhances the quality of life and empower people of the African diaspora through advocacy, community outreach, and education. Membership is open to any student, faculty or staff member of the UGA School of Social Work, regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, disability, national origin, race, religion, sexual orientation, or veteran status. Meetings are held bi-weekly for each full month of the fall and spring semesters. affiliated with the National Association of Black Social Workers (NABSW).

Club meetings occur times a semester.

Bachelor of Social Work Club (BSW Club)

The BSW Club is a student-run organization for undergraduate students in the School of Social Work. The club engages in community service, outreach, and awareness in diverse settings on and off campus. The club's values and ethics mirror those of the social work profession, preparing members for future practice within the field. The main goal of the club is to promote social work skills and experience, and to incorporate that knowledge in our various present and future communities. Club meetings occur three times a semester.


Students for Global Social Work (formerly International Social Work Student Association)

The international social work student group strives to educate, inspire and motivate others to become involved in global affairs both locally and overseas. The group is dedicated to exploring a wide variety of cultures while having fun. They hold two annual events: an international potluck in December and a celebration of International Social Work Day in March.


Nonprofit Organizations Student Club

The Nonprofit Organizations Student Club provides academic and social opportunities for nonprofit students at the University of Georgia to aid in the development of highly qualified and well-prepared nonprofit professionals.
