Information Technology Services (ITS)

The Information Technology Service Unit (ITS) at the School of Social Work plays a significant role in developing and supporting a technology rich experience for the School of Social Work. Numerous IT initiatives have been successfully accomplished over the past few years due to strategic planning efforts. This year’s plan groups goals by key categories which will give ITS focus and formulate the ITS TAPS (Training, Access, Polices/Procedures, Service/Support) Initiative.

The following briefly describes the functions and services of the ITS unit.

  • Client Support and Service - client support and consulting, installation / configuration of hardware and software, troubleshooting, purchasing, training
  • Web/Database Development - web development/delivery, web site maintenance, administrative database development, resource management
  • Classroom Media/Instructional Support and Service - integration of technology in the classroom, WebCT, video library, management of labs - computer and video taping labs
  • Network Service - network/server management, wireless and internet support, PDAs

Information Center
