2009 Visitation Day a Success
Undergraduate students from three Southeast schools visited the School of Social Work on Thursday, Nov. 12, for the school’s annual Visitation Day.
SSW students discuss public policy
SSW faculty members, staff and students convened in Tucker Hall lobby on Thursday, Nov. 12, for the seventh annual Parham Policy Day. The purpose of Policy Day is to facilitate policy discussions between social work and social science students, faculty, staff, community leaders, practicing social workers, social advocates and clients.

SSW to host Field Agency Fair Oct. 22

This year, the University of Georgia, School of Social Work is offering an opportunity to exchange information through a Field Agency Fair on Thursday, October 22, at the UGA campus in Gwinnett, (2530 Sever Road, Lawrenceville, Ga. 30043) from noon until 6:00 p.m.
Faculty Spotlight: Bernice Liddie-Hamilton
Early in her career as a social worker, Bernice Liddie-Hamilton had the opportunity to start an undergraduate social work program as part of the only five-school consortium in the country. As the program was being formed, Liddie-Hamilton served as director and field coordinator – that is until one was hired full-time.
