Reeves also invited a group of students from her HBSE class to join her in presenting Kohlberg’s Theory of Moral Development.

Dean Maurice Daniels presented the commencement address for the 2008 Felony Drug Court program in Athens on Oct. 23. The mission of the Western Judicial Circuit Felony Drug Court – overseen by Judge Steve Jones – is to provide an alternative means for addressing substance abuse offenses through a judicially supervised regimen of treatment for chemically dependent offenders with the goal of yielding sober, law-abiding citizens, thereby reducing the cost and negative effect on the community while resolving public safety issues. Dean Daniels highlighted School of Social work and other community initiatives that could support the program graduates while encouraging them to continue on their path to becoming stronger community citizens by helping others facing situations similar to their own.
