Certificate programs take less time to complete than a degree and can increase a student’s marketability with additional skills that employers seek.

The School of Social Work participates in several interdisciplinary certificate programs. They are entirely optional, but offer a focused academic experience for those students who want to delve deeply into a particular area of practice.

Students may meet some of the requirements for these certificates through their MSW program of study, but should plan one or more semesters of additional study beyond the MSW for their completion. Certificates are considered a supplement to the MSW program of study and do not take precedence in the curriculum planning process.

For more information, contact the coordinators for each program.
