Aeshia Robinson is a licensed social worker dedicated to understanding and addressing maternal health disparities, particularly the unique experiences of Black mothers in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs). She is passionate about advancing equity in perinatal care by exploring how systemic factors influence maternal mental health and well-being for Black families.

Aeshia has over three years of experience working as a Lead Maternal Health Social Worker, overseeing social work services for a Level III trauma NICU, postpartum, and labor and delivery units. In this role, she developed family-centered interventions, led hospital wide initiatives addressing the social determinants of health, and collaborated with interdisciplinary teams to improve maternal and infant outcomes.

As a licensed therapist, Aeshia specializes in providing trauma-informed interventions to support women in their journey toward healing and wholeness.

Her work bridges scholarship, policy, and practice to strengthen systems of care and improve outcomes for mothers and families in marginalized communities.
