“My work focuses on the mental health and well-being of young children and their mothers, especially in families experiencing child maltreatment and/or intimate partner violence. My current research involves supporting new mothers with opioid use disorders to increase treatment adherence so they can engage in loving and safe parenting. The primary goal of this work is to promote attachment and decrease the likelihood of child welfare system entry.”
