Jennifer Elkins studies diverse populations and age groups that have experienced trauma, violence, abuse and loss. She is particularly interested in the impact of trauma and loss over the life course and understanding the underlying micro- to macro-level mechanisms contributing to adaptive and maladaptive developmental outcomes. Her direct practice experience includes working with children, adolescents and adults exposed to domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse.
