Joy Green (she/her/hers) seeks to explore (and celebrate) the stories of sociopolitical resistance adopted by Black people of marginalized genders and Black queer communities. She is incredibly passionate about discussing culture as a strength and advocating for structural change through this form of storytelling. Her areas of focus are deeply rooted in Black feminism, radical social work, and collective healing.

Green’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Social Work with a concentration in Integrative Clinical Practice and Community Development. She has professional experience within the realms of research, workforce development, sexual assault advocacy, and healthcare. She also serves as a trainer and facilitator for the Southeast region of the Anti-Defamation League. Green hopes to contribute to scholarly activism as an aspiring educator, social researcher, and cultural worker.
