News Cover of SSW April Events for National Child Abuse Prevention Month

National Child Abuse Prevention Month is an annual observance in the United States dedicated to raising awareness about child abuse and neglect and promoting strategies to prevent it. This month serves as a time to educate communities, families, and individuals about the importance of supporting children’s safety, well-being, and development. It also provides an opportunity to advocate for policies and resources aimed at preventing child abuse and providing support to those affected.

Join us in creating a brighter future for vulnerable children and families by supporting the establishment of a Center on Children and Family Services at the UGA School of Social Work.
