Md Masud Rana
PhD Student
Md Masud Rana is a trained health social worker dedicated to addressing health disparities and improving the health outcomes of disadvantaged populations. His research focuses on health disparities, social determinants of health, barriers to healthcare access, psychiatric care, and health outcomes.
Masud holds a Master of Science in Social Work in Health Care from the University of Debrecen, Hungary, and a Bachelor of Social Science in Disaster and Human Security Management from the Bangladesh University of Professionals, Bangladesh.
He has actively participated in several research projects and presented his findings at national and international conferences, including Bangladesh, Hungary, and Denmark. He has also worked in international non-governmental organizations, including Save the Children and the Education and Development Foundation-Educo. Additionally, Masud’s international social work practice with Roma minority populations in Hungary expanded his knowledge of social care, psychiatric care, and healthcare services. His experience working with diverse populations has led to his current research interests, and he hopes to enhance theoretical knowledge, advanced statistical skills, and research methods training.
