UGA created the Double Dawgs program to give ambitious and motivated students a competitive advantage in today’s knowledge economy. By earning both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in five years or less, students can save time and money while positioning themselves for success after graduation. The School of Social Work offers two Double Dawgs options:
MSW Double Dawgs program
Beginning in Fall 2025, the Advanced Standing Master of Social Work (MSW) will be included as a Double Dawgs pathway! It enables students to earn a bachelor’s degree in social work (BSW) and a master’s degree in social work (MSW) in just five years, saving time and money. This program prepares graduates for success in a wide variety of fields, including therapy, healthcare, forensics, law, child welfare, and more.

MA NML Double Dawgs program
The Double Dawgs program with an MA in Nonprofit Management and Leadership (MA NML) enables students to earn a bachelor’s degree in certain majors and an MA NML degree in five years, saving time and money. This program is designed to train highly motivated students in the skills, knowledge, and values for successful careers in nonprofit management, administration, and leadership. Students must be enrolled in a qualified undergraduate degree to be eligible for the Double Dawgs program.

- Human Development and Family Science (BSFCS)
- Interdisciplinary Studies – Griffin Campus (AB)
- Latin American and Caribbean Studies (AB)
- Music (AB)
- Music Performance (BMus)
- Psychology (BS)
- Religion AB
- Social Entrepreneurship for Consumer Well-Being BSFCS
- Social Work (BSW)
- Sociology (AB)
- Theatre (AB)
- Women’s Studies (AB)
