Practicum education is the heart of social work education and its signature pedagogy, as defined by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), the accreditation body for graduate and undergraduate professional social work education programs in the United States.
Practicum experiences that blend classroom education with exposure to real world situations help maximize student growth. Our practicum faculty are eager to partner with our practicum agencies and work with students to provide educationally sound practicum that build on knowledge and skills learned in the classroom.
We continue to implement procedures and ideas to help students and practicum instructors succeed in attaining optimal learning experiences. We are happy to answer questions and comments from students, practicum instructors and other community members.
