Graduates of the MSW/JD program are prepared for careers as public interest lawyers, juvenile court representatives, multi-disciplinary public defense teams, mediators, public policy officials, guardians ad litem, mental health & disability attorneys, family law attorneys, and more! Students will participate in both legal and social work internships.
This interdisciplinary program allows students who follow the structured MSW/JD program of study to obtain graduate degrees in both social work and law in four academic years, rather than the five years needed if pursued separately. Those interested must be admitted to both schools independently.
Dual Degree options are only available for full-time in-person programs on the Athens Campus.
