Many of our faculty and students pursue the global dimensions of the service component of our mission through work with immigrant populations, in projects with organizations that seek to better address international challenges, and research that addresses global concerns, from human trafficking to environmental change. In preparing students for social work practice with the diverse people and communities, we place strong emphasis on the importance of community outreach. Also known as service-learning, this involves utilizing the School’s resources in helping students learn while addressing community challenges.

On campus, the Students for Global Social Work enthusiastically promote the international dimensions of social work through a variety of service activities.
